A moving musical comedy about three female soldiers in an adjustancy office on a remote military base: the spoiled Daffi, a paper shredding NCO, who will do anything relocate to the Kirya. Her friend Zohar, a mail NCO and a sharp-tongued kibbutznik, who is fighting to find love. And Rama the officer, the commander of the two, who is actively fighting for her promotion. The three understand that the only way to win their wars, within a hierarchical, rigid and masculine framework, is with the help of a fighting sisterhood, even if the weapon they wield is only a staple gun.

After a saxophonist starts playing at a particular nightspot, a thug from the Yakuza adopts him as a special friend for no greater reason than he plays one of his favorite songs well. As the dangerous life of the gangster intertwines with that of the musician, it brings harm to the musician's girlfriend, who is raped. This changes the young saxophonist's attitude about his patron, but his Yakuza "friend" is still too embroiled in his own problems to worry about anything else.

Summer Night Concert: 2022 - Vienna Philharmonic

On Thursday, June 16, 2022, after two years of the coronavirus pandemic, the Vienna Philharmonic was able to welcome back an audience without restrictions to its traditional Summer Night Concert. This year's atmospheric highlight of the summer music season was dedicated to solidarity with Ukraine and to Europe's musical heritage. In the festively illuminated park of Schönbrunn Palace, they delighted a huge audience with popular classical music by Dvořák, Smetana, Rossini, Beethoven, and others. One of the program's highlights was the waltz "Farewell" by Ukrainian composer Mykola Lysenko. Andris Nelsons conducted this year's Summer Night Concert, with Gautier Capuçon as cello soloist.

It's midnight in a graveyard. The principal characters are spooks, ghosts, bats, bells, and, at the end, the sun. As midnight strikes, 12 spooks appear, then two ghosts. They move to the music's rhythm. Against the black night, they are blue and yellow. Bats appear as does a xylophone of bones. Mist rises, spooks swirl. A bell tolls. The sky turns light blue, the ghosts' dance slows. Then black night returns bringing intimations of frenzy. Bones play snare drums; spooks peek out of square graves. Scary faces appear. Frenetic movement takes over. A rooster crows and all return to earth as the sun's light appears.
