Iron & Blood: The Legend of Taras Bulba

Amistad

Land of the Sun

With the beginning of Iran-Iraqi war a hospital in Khoramshar is surrounded by the Iraqi army and is being attacked from both land and sky. Jahan Ara the young leader of the Iranians wants the injures and the rest of the women and doctors to get out of the hospital with an ambulance. But in the way the Iraqis attack them and some getting killed and few are saved. The few rescued people scatter around the city not finding the way to the Iranian's side. Among them is the driver of the ambulance, doctor Kasra, a widow, a captain, a man who constantly think of surrendering to the Iraqis so he can save his money, and a nurse Hanieh who brought two infants with herself. An Iraqi officer who has been captured is with them too.

Eastern Bandits

Movie is set during a period of time when Japanese invaded China. The story is told from Gao's perspective, a soldier seeking revenge from the Japanese in trying to assassinate the visiting Japanese chief in command. In the process of plotting such scheme, he had a chance encounter with a local Mafia, lead by its charismatic leader Fang. Fang had a bandit of followers, of which one is Fang's sister. Fang in the past have rescued many of these followers using his own blood and as a result all the members in the bandit formed a life long bond and friendship. When Gao realizes he could use the firearms and man power of Fang's bandit, he sets up a scheme to get captured by Fang on purpose. When Fang found out - he was extremely angry and upset and almost killed Gao, but Gao is saved by Fang's sister because she clearly developed feelings for Gao after seeing how he fared during the interrogation phases when he was in Fang's capture.

Twenty Years Later

Eduardo Coutinho was filming a movie with the same name in the Northeast of Brazil, in 1964, when there came the military coup. He had to interrupt the project, and came back to it in 1981, looking for the same places and people, showing what had ocurred since then, and trying to gather a family whose patriarch, a political leader fighting for rights of country people, had been murdered.

Capsule
